Here you’ll find the latest news on Shire pets, health care, and what’s happening at Sylvania Vet Hospital
We are are proud supporters of this nation-wide charity that cares for pets owned by people who are homeless and at risk of becoming homeless. Pets play an important role in their lives in the provision of companionship and emotional comfort, and without the support of Pets in the Park, veterinary care is often out of reach. We help by providing veterinary care directly, and assisting with the charity’s coordination and fund-raising activities.
Microchipping is the most effective way to help ensure your pet can be returned to you if it becomes lost. A microchip is a permanent method of electronic identification and its number is recorded on a database with details about the animal and owner. The NSW Pet Registry is a database of microchipped and registered cats and dogs and is the official database in NSW for registering your animal.
Dogs and cats of all shapes, sizes, and ages who are looking for homes are available for you to meet at the Animal Shelter at Taren Point. If you’re thinking of an addtion to the family, consider giving one of these homeless animals a loving new home, and in doing so make space for another animal who needs shelter.
Adopted animals can be the most loyal and loving pets. RSPCA animals have undergone health and behaviour assessments to make sure they are suitable for adoption as companion pets, and are desexed, microchipped and vaccinated. By choosing to adopt, not only are you giving a new home to an animal in need, but your support will help the RSPCA care for many more animals.
Search by animal type, and meet some of the adorable animals looking for new homes.
